How Does A Heat Pump Work?

A hot air source heat pump is an efficient heating and cooling system. It works similarly to other heat pump systems, but in this system, air is used as the heat exchange medium.

The principle of an air source heat pump is similar to that of the air conditioner. In other words, the air source heat pump is a branch of an air conditioner and both use the reverse Carnot cycle.

Hot air source heat pumps offer many advantages over traditional heat pumps. First, it provides efficient heating and cooling without the need for any additional fuel. This reduces energy bills and reduces the negative impact on the environment.

In addition, hot air source heat pumps can provide a more even and comfortable temperature distribution. Since they radiate heat throughout the room, they ensure there aren't any cold or hot spots. This results in more stable indoor temperatures and provides a more pleasant living, working, and learning environment.

Summer cooling
The air source heat pump maintains the comfortable temperature of the room through the water circulation system. When the fan coil is turned on, the fan coil absorbs the heat in the room into the water. The circulating water in the pipe that rises to 25℃-35℃ returns with the absorbed heat. After reaching the heat pump host, the heat pump host's compressor performs heat exchange to release the excess heat or use it for heating domestic water. At this time, the circulating water temperature in the pipeline can be reduced to 7°C, and then the water pump promotes circulation to bring the cold energy to the heat pump host. At this time, the outlet air temperature of the fan coil is only 12℃-15℃. Through heat exchange with the indoor air, the purpose of cooling is achieved.

Winter heating
The air source heat pump absorbs low-grade heat from the air, converts it through the compressor to form high-temperature heat, and then transfers the increased heat to the water through the heat exchanger. It continues to work until the water temperature reaches the heating demand, and finally the floor heating (radiator), fan coil unit) dissipates the heat in the water into the room, thereby completing the heating of the room in winter.

In short, the hot air source heat pump is a very advanced heating and cooling system with many advantages, such as high efficiency, environmental protection, and uniformity, and can bring more comfort and convenience to our lives.
